Description:
After 3 months of legislators in Albany and still no progress on Marriage Equality, Queer Rising members found it necessary to escalate the fight and planned a series of actions. First, there was a demonstration of a mock wedding performed by members in drag in Grand Central Station. This was done to draw attention to the unjust law in New York. While this demonstration was underway, other members of Queer Rising set loose balloons with a banner attached that asked passersby to call the New York legislature and demand the passage of Marriage Equality immediately.
