While the vote for NY State Marriage Equality hung in the balance, President Barack Obama held a campaign-fundraiser for support from the NY LGBT Community in Midtown. Activists from Queer Rising and GetEQUAL stood determined at the street-intersection outside the venue, putting pressure on Obama to”Evolve!” (his words), and make a clear and precise statement on the issue of marriage.
